Beginning Lampwork Bootcamp
For the true beginner, this intensive four-hour class gives you the basic overview of safety, tools & equipment, basic bead making and decoration.

Intermediate Lampworking Bootcamp
A perfect follow-up to the Beginner class, this session focuses on stringer control, basic encasing, and adding some bling to your beads with bits of silver foil and dichro chips.
Saturday, January 14

Handmade Murrini and Shards
Learn how to create and apply your own custom shards and murrini. These handmade components will give your beads an extra bit of uniqueness and they're also really fun to make! You'll get plenty of hands-on practice and at the end of the class you'll have a nice variety of shards, murrini cane and pieces to use later.

Glitter and Shine
Add lots of bling to your beads using specialty reduction glass and a variety of metals. You will learn how to incorporate fine silver mesh, wire, foil and reduction glasses inside your beads under a layer of encasement or as a high-shine metallic surface accent. You'll get plenty of practice on encasing and at the end of the class we'll make a galaxy style bead that incorporates everything into one out-of-this-world focal bead!

Hollow Beads
In this class you'll learn how to create beautiful hollow beads both directly on a mandrel and on a decorated core bead. We will cover basic decorating and shaping techniques, and at the end of the class I’ll demonstrate how to clean out the interior of your hollow and how to create a fun “filled” hollow bead pendant.
